Here is this week’s nondenominational worship service designed for older adults with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. The theme is patience — one of the more elusive fruits of the Spirit, in my humble opinion 😉
I’ve really appreciated people’s feedback on these videos, as well as suggestions for more types of content — I’ll be creating resources as time allows, so stay tuned!

Back in the saddle
I’ve just returned from a three-week, post-vaccine trip to see my parents in Arizona. It was glorious to be with them after 18 months apart and to have a bit more space to reflect and breathe, in the comfort of my childhood home (where my parents still live, going on 63 years!).
The Black Sphinx Date palm trees in this blog’s photo, which line the streets of my parents’ neighborhood, remind me of patience, growing slowly but determinedly though buffeted by storms, heat, cold, wind, animals, and power lines. And they produce the most luscious, best-tasting dates in the world — the fruit of all that patience. A living parable 🌴
