Bible study for elders with dementia: 1 Corinthians 13 (Love)

One of my goals this year is to update all of my dementia-friendly Bible studies, making them even more clear, easy to use, and suitable for leading a discussion with older adults with dementia.

First up: download the new Bible study guide on 1 Corinthians 13, Paul’s famous passage about love.

Many thanks to my friend and Bible teacher Jon Ball for helping me revamp these Bible studies for seniors!

Peace be with you,

  1. David Hertle says:

What a wonderful suggestion to place one’s own name into the narrative in the place of Love. I know of others that have used that technique when reading this chapter as a means of reflecting on how our Father in Heaven sees us (in Christ) rather than our soulish and worldly way.

Thank you David! Rather than berating ourselves that we don’t measure up to this standard, I hope this approach gives people hope that God is growing and molding us into this divine image of perfect love in Christ, when we finally see through the glass clearly. Such glory that will be!
