I cannot thank you enough for the servos you provide. I am an activities director for a memory care unit, we do Saturday morning services and you are a hit! They absolutely love the songs and your words.
I have made sure to tell others about your website as well.
Thanks again, keep up the great work

Tammy, thank you so, so much! You just made my day. May I ask where your community is located? God bless you for your service to your dear elders, and please spread the word however you see fit.

My mother recently went into an assisted living and of course with Covid we can only do window visits. She had started a Bible study in the assisted living where she’s at and now that they are quarantined in their rooms unable to get out. I would like to have a Bible study with my mother we could do it over the phone do you have any suggestions, she does have dementia

Brenda, bless you for wanting to do this with your mom! I think my Bible study guides would work for this purpose; they are designed for elders with dementia and are very interactive, with lots of questions for discussion. If she can still read, send the large-font printout of the passage you choose (it’s always the last page of each study guide) to the memory care staff to give to her in advance, and alert them that you plan to call her at such-and-such time so they’ll be sure she has it ready to go. As you go through the passage together, use as much or as little of the discussion guide as you like — feel free to skip questions, add your own, etc. You certainly don’t have to finish an entire passage — let your mom’s mood and energy be your guide. If she starts to get tired or less engaged, you can simply say something like “that’s probably enough Bible for today — I’m so glad we could talk about it together!” If she likes music, you might also want to begin and end with a familiar hymn (one or two verses); music is always so comforting, even over the phone. Please let me know if you have any other questions — I’d love to hear how it goes.

I have been asked to give a lesson twice a month to a Community Care Center over my desk top computer. Your lessons are an excellent format to teach from.
