Quick PSA for caregivers or anyone interested in ideas, inspiration, and encouragement for eldercare during the holidays and beyond: I’m presenting at various webinars in the next few days!
TOMORROW, Saturday, Dec. 5, 10am-12pm Eastern Time: “Christmas, Covid, and Eldercare,” This free webinar is hosted by the Word and Spirit Institute of Ontario, which also offers a Certificate program in Ministry for the Aging. We’ll be talking about worshipping, visitation, music, and more with older adults.
Sunday, Dec. 6, 1-2pm Mountain Time: “Inclusivity and Dementia.” This informal Zoom meeting is the last in a monthly series of discussions on caring for “our neighbors living at the margins of our community.” It’s hosted by Mountain View Methodist Church here in Boulder, CO. We’ll also chat about how to care for caregivers.
Tuesday, Dec. 8 and Weds. Dec. 9, 9am-12pm Eastern Time: “The Perfect Storm: Managing Challenging Behaviors During Covid-19.” This live, web-based training is eligible for CE credits and is hosted by Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences and Trinitas Hospital, S-COPE. I’m presenting alongside two long-term care administrators who have been on the front lines of meeting elders’ needs during the pandemic.
Let me know if you have any questions about these events.

Hi Elisa,
I am so sorry to catch up with my e-mail so late! I am curious if any of these webinars are available as a recording for viewing after the fact?

Hi Darlene: I think at least two of the three were recorded. When I come up for air, I’ll post a blog with the links. Thanks for asking!
