A few comments I’ve received …
Recently I ran across your website and have found it to be extremely helpful in my ministry to dementia residents at Newton Village of Newton, Iowa, a ministry of Cassia (a Christian health care organization). I have recommended your wonderful website to other chaplains and to our director of spiritual care. Thank you for what your are doing. God bless.
Thank you for such great resources. I am a member of a group that goes to an Alzheimer’s memory care center every Friday to provide a Catholic prayer and communion service. Our parish is in Wind Lake, WI. We just found your website and will be using it to enhance what we are doing. Sending wishes for many blessings for you.
I came across this site last week and am SO EXCITED! We did the 1st Epistle study this morning, and the format was so user friendly, we elicited answers from residents who rarely talk, due to their dementia. It is sophisticated enough to be meaningful, but using common language to be accessible. It was wonderful. Thank you! (140 bed care centre in Canada)
Since we are still in the beginning phases of offering dementia services we only offer them once a month. Have had a great response. We do offer life music and songs from your selection. Thank you ever so much for all the work you have put into this to make it flow easily for the rest of us.
Thank you for this site! I am a hospice chaplain. I currently lead three Bible studies at facilities that we service. I also have a pretty full schedule of people to see. That often means my prep time for my studies is lacking. I only briefly went over some of the studies that you offer but the look like a valuable resource. I will share with my fellow chaplains and definitely support you ministry. Thank you again and God bless.
Your website has been an answer to prayer for me. I have been asked to do a Bible Study for dementia-challenged patients at a Retirement Home. I was at a loss of how to even begin. I have led Bible Studies for years, but not for this group. Your Bible Study guidelines, samples and advice have really helped me. It has showed me how to slow down and hit the high points.
Thank you for all you do. God Bless You!
“Thank you also for your devotion and dedication to bring God’s word and love to those at MorningStar. Mom looked forward to Bible Study and the Chapel services. She loved going to Church and singing.”
“I’m just starting to use some of your Bible studies, but the two I’ve used so far have really gone well. I’ve had more sharing from residents, and our time has been more substantive than with some other studies I’ve used. I so appreciate the resources too, as it is a huge help to not have to develop something from scratch each Bible study when my time feels so limited.”
“I have been using the music! So perfect! It’s so accessible!”
“Your collection of resources is exceptional. . . Actually, I collect these kind of materials and for some time have had a great longing to record hymns in the simple fashion likewise to what you have already done… Thank you for checking that “to-do” off my list for me!”
“Since my mother-in-law entered memory care a couple of years ago, my wife and I started leading a weekly worship service at her home. We have a mix of memory care and assisted living residents that attend. God has taught us so much through this experience. It’s unfortunate that I did not find your very helpful website until I read the recent article in World Magazine and googled your name. Music is such an important part of worship and the helpful hymn downloads will be put to good use. I am always searching for Scripture passages that touch the hearts of those in this special life situation. The suggested worship services will be helpful also. Thanks for your service and love for all of God’s children.”
“I [am] so impressed with the things you have. Keep up the good work.”
