Advent Bible studies, devotions, and activities for seniors

Advent, the four weeks leading up to Christmas, is a particularly rich and beautiful time for Bible reflections with elders, including those with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

I’ve created numerous Advent resources for seniors with dementia, so use whatever works best for you and your residents or loved ones.

I’ve recorded four Bible study discussion videos, one for each week of Advent. You can use these videos to guide a discussion (pause the video when prompted).

Use the written Bible studies for Advent to print out passages for the above videos, or to lead a discussion yourself. I’ve included a Bible study for U.S. Thanksgiving, too, which is the week before Advent.

My free Advent Devotions booklet includes short meditations and hands-on activities for each theme of Advent: hope, peace, joy, and love. Songs, too!

Definitely check out the free downloads of 20 classic Christmas carols, arranged for elders with dementia. There are YouTube versions with lyrics, too.

Peace be with you during this joyous season!
