Depending on your needs, you can choose from two dementia-friendly worship services this week.
As always, both options are suitable for older adults with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
Option 1: Justice (MLK Jr. Day)
I’ve updated the nondenominational worship service on justice, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. How can we respond justly when it seems the world around us takes little interest in what’s true and right? I believe the call to remember and honor our identity as Christ followers still stands.
Watch the 44-minute worship service on justice here.
And here’s the written agenda on justice.
Option 2: Lament & Grief
My heart grieves for the many people suffering from the horrific wildfires in Los Angeles. If you’ve been impacted by that tragedy (or some other hardship), you may choose to watch my updated nondenominational worship service on lament. As people of faith, how can we process and respond to grief ?
Watch the 46-minute worship service on lament and grief here.
And here’s the written agenda on lament.
Peace be with you in these troubled times,

Good Afternoon;
As always the residents of the long term care home that I work enjoy your worship services. We do also use the bible studies. I had noticed that you’re not putting out any new ones. Is this something you will be doing again?
Sincerely,
Donna Clarke

Hi Donna – Yes, I’ve set aside more time this year to create more Bible studies! My first batch will be on the topic of heaven — I’ve finished them but I’m trying them out with my own group before I post 🙂 So stay tuned!
