This year, Lunar or Chinese New Year goes from January 29 to February 12, kicking off the Year of the Snake. In celebration, I’ve updated the nondenominational worship service on treasure. It’s a good way to revisit what we value and why, as Jesus said, we should store up treasures in heaven.

As always, the service is suitable for older adults with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Snack idea: After church, serve oranges or tangerines, a traditional (and delicious!) Chinese symbol of good fortune. Happy Year of the Snake! 🐍
