I’ve updated my nondenominational worship service on treasure for Lunar New Year, the start of the Year of the Horse. (I’m posting it a bit early — this year’s celebration starts on February 17.)
As a theme, treasure gives a chance to think about what we value — and why, as Jesus said, we should store up treasures in heaven.
As always, the service is suitable for older adults with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
Watch the 44-minute church service on treasure here.
And here’s the written agenda. (It’s generalized for any year.)
Snack idea: After church, serve sticky rice cake or oranges or tangerines, all traditional (and delicious!) Chinese New Year foods. Happy Year of the Horse! 🐎
PA Women of Chaplaincy Video
I want to thank Marcia Washington, leader of PA Women of Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care group and YouTube channel, for including me in her “30 Minutes With” video series!
We had a great conversation about spiritual care for elders. Thanks, Marcia, for helping to spread the word, and for your good work of encouraging women chaplains!
Peace be with you,

Chaplain Elisa,
I am enjoying your interview right now with PA Women Chaplains. Every week I use your agenda and your hymns, and we have a great time at Berkemeier Living Center at Wartburg in Mount Vernon, NY. Thank you again for all that you do!
