I’m delighted to report that I recently earned my Certified Dementia Champion designation with Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care!
My deepest thanks to those of you who’ve donated to my ministry; this is a tangible way your gifts have enhanced what I do and how I train others, too 😇 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
As I mentioned in an earlier post, getting PAC certified has been a long-held dream of mine. In my opinion, of all the dementia-care training out there, Teepa Snow’s PAC is the best for:
- Promoting the dignity of people living with brain changes
- Celebrating abilities instead of losses
- Providing effective practical strategies and tools for supporting people living with dementia
I can honestly say that I use Teepa’s well-thought-out and proven skills every time I interact with people living with dementia. Even so, I know I still have so much to learn – so this fall, I’m planning to extend my training to become a PAC Certified Dementia Educator.
If you’re interested in learning more about PAC, check out “What Is Dementia?”, a free, comprehensive overview. I especially recommend learning about the GEMS states.
Thanks again for your support!

The Official Press Release
Teepa Snow, Internationally Renowned Dementia Educator, and her Positive Approach to Care Organization Provides Dementia Certifications
It is estimated that more than half a million Americans develop dementia each year. By 2060, that number is expected to double, reaching more than 1 million new cases annually.
Dementia has many forms and causes, including Alzheimer disease, frontotemporal dementia, vascular dementia, and Lewy body dementia, among others. It is a terminal condition commonly associated with memory loss, but it also affects many other cognitive functions and brain processes.
Internationally recognized dementia educator Teepa Snow, MS, OTR/L, FAOTA, has helped thousands of people worldwide through her dementia care philosophy and support techniques. With more than forty years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, her Snow Approach™ methods reflect her extensive education, clinical background, medical research, and personal experiences supporting family members.
A passionate advocate for individuals living with all forms of brain change, Teepa has made it her mission to help families and professionals understand how to more effectively support those living with neurocognitive conditions.
Teepa’s teaching style is unique, engaging, and energetic, making her a highly sought-after speaker around the world. In 2007, she founded Positive Approach to Care® (PAC™) to further her mission, and the organization now works to improve the culture of dementia care in more than thirty countries.
Elisa Bosley was recently certified as a PAC Certified Dementia Champion. Teepa’s Snow Approach™ philosophy and care partnering techniques serve as the foundation for all PAC Dementia Certifications. Each certification tier includes instruction in PAC philosophy, foundational dementia knowledge, and basic care partnering skills, including Positive Physical Approach™ and Hand-under-Hand® support.

Super congratulations, Elisa.

Linda, that’s fabulous! I remember reading about the Pilgrims’ Friend Society in the UK a while back. If I’m ever back in England, I would love to visit a Pilgrim care home! (For those reading this who may not be familiar with it, check out https://www.pilgrimsfriend.org.uk)

Chaplain Elisa,Congratulations !!!!!I’m so glad you are receiving training from Teepa Snow !The Wheatridge Adult Day Care trains their employees using her educational tools! My husband went there for several years before his dementia became so severe, he wasn’t able to attend any more. I’ve been to her conferences twice n also have a video. She’s absolutely amazing! It was good training for me as I cared for my hunny right up until he passed. Maybe you could train nursing home employees! As for me, God has moved me
