There is no way I could have embarked on the Hymns for Alzheimer’s project without the generous support and love of dozens of people.
To all of you who contributed to the GoFundMe fundraiser or gave money directly: My sincere and humble thanks. It is a privilege to partner with you to produce these hymns. I trust and pray you are blessed by being such a blessing to others.
To my incredible vocalists Charlotte Warren Sass, Dave Arns, Bethany Donnalley, Will, Ben Lunstad, Cheryl Jackson, Curtis Reed, and Dr. Michael Williams (for spirit-gifted voice and piano accompaniment on the gospel songs): You have my profound thanks and inexpressible admiration for your talents and time.
To Richard Capp, our incomparable pianist for most of the recordings: Richard, I honestly don’t know what we would have done without you. Your enthusiastic participation and absolutely spot-on, ego-free keyboard skills lifted this project to the heavens. Thanks, too, for voluntarily tuning the studio piano before each and every recording session.
To our amazing, miracle-working, and ever-patient sound engineer, Kyle Smith: Kyle, as I’ve said many times, you’re a magician. Just don’t forget to eat dinner or I’ll be sad.
To Coupe Studios for charging a low “charity rate” for this project: thank you! Your studio is a delightful place to work. I wish I understood all the dials and buttons, but that will have to wait for another time 🙂
To my wonderful husband, Dave, my champion, encourager, accountant, business manager, sounding board, wise counselor, and biggest cheerleader: I love you.
And to the many, many elders who bless me every day with their sweet souls that transcend memory: You are my inspiration and my joy, and I dedicate this entire project to you. May these hymns bless you and your families.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord! Let the Earth hear his voice;
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord! Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father through Jesus the Son,
And give him the glory: Great things he hath done!
Peace be with you,
