I’ve just uploaded to YouTube a new nondenominational worship service for isolated older adults who remain in quarantine because of coronavirus. This church service focuses on the theme of Abiding — a timely message that when we abide in God’s presence and love, we can have hope amidst the trials and uncertainties of life.
Just like most traditional church services, this one lasts a full hour — though you can easily make it shorter simply by skipping some songs. In format, it’s designed to provide a sense of familiarity and comfort for older adults who can’t get out to go to church. As with all of my resources, the service is suitable for those with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
As you may already know, I’ve also uploaded YouTube videos of 86 classic hymns and spiritual songs, complete with lyrics, as sing-alongs for elders, especially those with Alzheimer’s and other dementias (the arrangements are slower, shorter, and in a lower key than usual).
God be with you till we meet again
I continue to pray for all seniors who may feel alone and frightened during these strange times, and I hope that this service will provide some comfort and joy to them as well as to their loyal caregivers. Stay tuned for more videos each week!
God bless you, and please let me know if there is anything else I can create or do that would serve you.
