Dementia-friendly worship service: Work

In honor of Labor Day, this video version of a nondenominational church service focuses on the theme of work. It’s designed for elders with Alzheimer’s and other dementias to enjoy a familiar worship experience: lots of sing-along hymns, scriptures, and more — but of course anyone may enjoy it. Similar to my other YouTube church services, this one is about 46 minutes long.

A reminder: If you’re an activity director or caregiver, please stay with your elder(s) so that you’re able to pause the video at certain points. During the interactive homily (about halfway through), I provide questions for you to easily foster a minute or two of group (or one-on-one) discussion. This is important to provide a sense of connection and community — something a video alone cannot accomplish.

And please send any feedback or suggestions! You all continue in my prayers.
