I finally had a chance to upload four more Bible study activity videos to the Spiritual Eldercare YouTube channel. Woot!
It’s my constant prayer that these will help you lead an enjoyable, interactive Bible discussion group with older adults, especially those living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
The newly available videos are:
- Colossians 3: Put on Love (and the written guide)
- Ephesians 2: Grace (and the written guide)
- Hebrews 6: Hope, Our Steadfast Anchor (and the written guide)
- Psalm 100: Give Thanks (and the written guide; I often use this one for the Thanksgiving holiday)
Remember, the written guides contain more material than the videos, so just pick and choose the parts that work for your group.
Peace be with you,

Thank you so much. I went to two facilities yesterday and utilized your July 4th message. It was so helpful, and the historical information kept some of our friends engaged more than usual. This ministry is challenging for me. I am 66, and leave thoroughly worn out. Without your help, I don’t know what I would do. I also play piano and sing, but that only takes up about 15 minutes, max. I am getting to know the residents, and trying to jog their memories as to their pasts. Thanks again. God bless!!! Becky Heth

Rebecca, I’m so glad the material is proving helpful to you; that’s great to hear about the historical info too. You’re right, this ministry can be challenging and tiring! I appreciate your efforts so much; trust me, you are doing good that has *eternal* value. Getting to know the residents one-on-one is the BEST, because you will learn what matters to them and how to engage their long-term memories. Music works wonders, so if it helps, you might want to try leading a hymn sing-along with my hymn videos … which takes less effort but may be nearly as engaging as you performing live 🙂 You’ll find them on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5OUbHcf869RW235uXtpBGN4CgCTip_f0

Thank you so much for your ministry and preparation. I have recently begun a co-ed class of elderly people at an assisted living facility. I, also, lead a Bible study at my church for a group of women between the ages of 50 and 65 with a few younger and older. Your site and preparation have been a blessing to me and those I serve. I use your lesson plans for the assisted living group. Your lesson plans have saved me an enormous amount of time.
I already get your emails.
May God continue to bless you as you serve Him according to His calling.
Your sister in Christ.
