Dementia-friendly church service: Unity

I made very small tweaks to this week’s nondenominational worship service on unity, timed for election season here in the U.S.

Sadly, unity continues to be an ongoing challenge in our polarized world. I hope this service is an encouragement to you and your elders, especially those with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Watch the 43-minute worship service on unity here.

And here’s the written church service agenda for unity.

Peace be with you,

Elisa. Thank you for your ministry. I lead a small (10-12) group in our dementia/memory care unit at a senior adult community. I share a stand alone Bible story and sing with the residents, usually no more than 30 minutes. Although I appreciate the worship services you have been offering lately, I could use a few simple stories with just a couple of points and maybe an object lesson to accompany the story. Is this something you or your associates could offer?
    If not, thanks anyway.
    Blessings!

Hi Dan, and thank you for your good work! It sounds like you may be asking for a short devotional-style resource — is that right? With just a verse or two and a couple of questions? If you give me a few more details I’ll see what I can do 🙂

Yes. Devotional style. A few verses or an account/story of Jesus. We are keeping it simple right now because of the residents cognitive levels. Thank you!
