Dementia-friendly church service: Security (U.S. Independence Day, 2021)

This weekend in the United States, we’ll be celebrating July 4, Independence Day. Given that many elders love this holiday and all that it represents for our country, I use it as the basis for this week’s nondenominational worship service video — with a focus on security and how we only have true security in God.

As always, this July 4 church service is suitable for older adults with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Don’t live in the U.S.?

I realize that a number of my readers live in other countries. 👋🏼Hi to all my friends in Australia, Canada, South Africa, Singapore, New Zealand, U.K., the Philippines, and more!👋🏼

If that’s you, this week’s video may not work for you. However, you can still provide a church service by using my modified, written church service agenda on Security. In it, I’ve marked the places where you can swap in stories and history that are appropriate to your own country.

You may also want to read my how-to guide, “Why–and How–To Lead a Memory-Care Worship Service.”

Alternatively, you can always watch another Spiritual Eldercare church service video on any topic you like.

Wherever you live, my blessings are with you for a joyful worship service.

Peace be with you,
