Dementia-friendly church service: Wind & Fire (Pentecost and the Holy Spirit)

This week’s slightly updated nondenominational worship service for Pentecost looks at the characteristics of wind and fire — two biblical descriptors of the Holy Spirit.

According to many church calendars, Sunday May 24 is this year’s celebration of Pentecost, when God sent the Holy Spirit to the first followers of Jesus after his resurrection. However, I’m posting this service early because I’ve placed the Memorial Day service (theme: sacrifice) on May 24. Of course, use whatever order works for you!

As always, this service is suitable for older adults with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

Watch the 45-minute church service for Pentecost and the Holy Spirit here.

Here’s the updated written agenda for Pentecost and the Holy Spirit.

Peace be with you,

P.S. I like to serve sliced strawberries as a snack after the service because they look like little flames 🔥🍓
