Dementia-friendly church service: Compassion

This week’s nondenominational worship service for older adults with Alzheimer’s and other dementias focuses on compassion: what it is and why it matters.

Watch the 48-minute service on compassion here.

The service also pays homage to the compassion exemplified by Mother Teresa (St. Teresa of Calcutta), whose birthday was August 26. Mother Teresa followed Jesus in caring for the “harassed and helpless” (Matthew 9:36) by doing what he did: telling people about God’s love, tangibly healing their wounds (physical and emotional), and praying for others to do the same.

(If you’d like to provide this service yourself, use this agenda.)

Peace be with you,
