The theme for this week’s updated nondenominational worship service (now slightly shorter and with better sound balance) is discovery. It’s timed for and acknowledges Columbus Day (a long-term memory for many elders) and Indigenous Peoples Day.

Jesus likens the kingdom of heaven to a discovered treasure or pearl that’s worth everything! As people of faith, discovery is woven into the fabric of our lives. God’s word and presence aren’t static; God is constantly leading us to discovery more depths of his love, wisdom, guidance, correction, justice, mercy, and truth.
