This week’s updated worship service for seniors is on dignity — a universal human right. I created this service in 2021 as my way of honoring Black History Month, observed in the United States in February. I hope you and all the elders in your care, especially those with African or Black heritage — and caregivers as well — feel seen and honored with this service.
As always, the service is suitable for older adults with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
And again, I’m indebted to Rev. Alydia Smith of the United Church of Canada, who graciously offered to review my original 2021 service and to contribute her beautiful prayer “The Light of the World” via video.
Watch the 44-minute service on dignity here.
And here’s the written agenda for the dementia-friendly church service on dignity.
Peace be with you,
