Dementia-friendly church service: Love (Valentine’s Day)

This week’s updated nondenominational worship service takes the theme of love. Unless I miss my guess, most senior living communities will go big to celebrate Valentine’s Day with hearts, flowers, and all manner of decorations. I want to make the most of it by focusing on God’s passionate love for us ❤️

As always, this service is suitable for older adults with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Watch the 42-minute church service on love here.

Note: Try to have a simple, blank name tag (the sticky kind) available for each viewer. I use them during the homily as a simple activity to embrace the beautiful names that God gives his people, such as The Lord’s Delight.

And here’s the written agenda for the service on love (Valentine’s Day).

Peace be with you,
