Dementia-friendly church service: Work & Rest (U.S. Labor Day)

I’m amazed that it’s already September, but here we are! In the U.S., the first Monday of September is Labor Day. So this week’s updated nondenominational worship service focuses on work and rest — both described by the scriptures as gifts from God.

As always, this service is suitable for older adults with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Watch the 45-minute church service on work and rest here.

And here’s the updated written agenda.

I feel prompted to stop and check in: How are you doing in your time with elders with dementia? Are you finding gaps in the support you need? Do you have ideas for ways I could help, guide, or pray for you?

I’m here for you, so please either comment below or contact me privately.

Peace be with you,

i live in an retirement community in Indiana.

We saw your program recently and wondered if we could see a list of the songs that we sang.

The program was meaningful and helpful for those who are full-time residents.

    Keep up the great work!

Sure! I typically post the written agenda at the same time that I post the video, and those include the songs used in each service. All of the written agendas can be found here (scroll down to see the list by theme): https://spiritualeldercare.com/church-services/
By the way, you can also subscribe to my weekly blog; each blog provides links to that week’s video and written agenda.
Blessings to you and your fellow residents!
